    The roster says she’s a freshman, but outside hitter Ingrid Murphy (Cotuit/ Barnstable HS) played like a seasoned veteran Tuesday night while leading the Bentley University Falcons to a 3-1 victory over Southern Connecticut State in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Volleyball Championships Friday night at the Dana Center.
  • Bentley Selected to First Ever NCAA Tournament, Will Play Molloy in First Round on Friday

    Bentley was selected to the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship on Monday as the No. 6 seed in the East Region. The Falcons will play the No. 3 seed Molloy in the first round on Friday at 10:00 am on the campus of Mercy College.

  • Hudson Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

    Bentley University senior forward Chris Hudson (Hodgdon, Maine/ Northampton Williston School) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after his outstanding performance in the Falcons’ come-from-behind win over Molloy College on Sunday. It’s the second time in his career he’s earned the honor.
  • Bentley Begins 2nd Season Tuesday Night vs. Southern Connecticut

    After capturing the regular season title, the Bentley University women’s volleyball team will open its second season Tuesday night when it hosts Southern Connecticut State in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.     Senior forward Chris Hudson (Hodgdon, Maine/Northampton Williston School) established career-highs with 28 points and five blocks, and also had 11 rebounds, as the Bentley University Falcons battled back for a 74-71 win over Molloy College in non-conference men’s basketball Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center.

    Senior wide receiver Drew Mahoney (West Suffield, Conn./Suffield Academy) surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the season with nine catches for 192 yards, senior defensive back Pete Thorbahn (Norwell/Xaverian Bros. HS) capped his standout career with a 40-yard pick-six and the Falcon defense posted its second straight shutout as the Bentley University Falcons rolled to a 38-0 Senior Day shutout of American International College Saturday afternoon.
  • Career Night by Springfield Includes Game-Winner as Bentley Rallies Past Florida Southern, 65-62

    Senior guard Maddy Springfield (Jaffrey, N.H./Conant HS) buried a game-winning three with 5.9 seconds left and finished with a career-best 23 points off the bench, leading Bentley University to a come-from-behind 65-62 win over Florida Southern in non-conference women’s basketball Saturday evening at Jenkins Field House.

    After sweeping two Central Athletic Collegiate Conference opponents last weekend in the Tip-Off Classic, the Bentley University men’s basketball team will conclude a season-opening three-game homestand Sunday afternoon at Molloy College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 pm and the game can be viewed on the NE10 NOW digital network.

    Senior Dani Milner (Plano, Texas/The Greenhill School) celebrated Senior Day with 16 kills and freshman Ingrid Murphy (Cotuit/Barnstable HS) added 13 as Bentley University wrapped up its first outright Northeast-10 Conference regular season championship since 2005 with a three-set sweep of Pace University Friday night at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-22, 25-15 and 25-19.

    Bentley nearly came all the way back from a 5-1 deficit in the 3rd period to Robert Morris, but despite three unanswered goals the Colonials hung on for a 6-4 victory on Friday night at Bentley Arena.
  • Bentley Back on the Road, This Time in Florida, for Games Saturday and Monday

    Last weekend, the Bentley University women’s basketball team was in Philadelphia, where they split the first two contests of the season. Coach Barbara Stevens’ team is back on the road this weekend for a pair of games in Florida, the Falcons’ first trip to the Sunshine State since 2008. Bentley will be in Lakeland on Saturday for a 5:30 encounter with Florida Southern and in Fort Lauderdale Monday to take on Nova Southeastern University, also a 5:30 start.

    A pool record was set, another was tied and freshman Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) was a triple-winner as the Bentley University men’s swimming and diving team extended its dual winning streak with a 185-103 victory over Brandeis University in the Falcons’ home opener in the Dana Center pool Friday night.

    Double-doubles by Ingrid Murphy (Cotuit/Barnstable HS), Xio Lopp (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead HS) and Dani Milner (Plano, Texas/The Greenhill School) propelled Bentley University to a 3-1 victory over the University of New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Thursday night at the Dana Center. The scores were 25-17, 25-21, 20-25 and 25-11.

    Junior tailback Andrew Brazicki (Franklin Park, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas HS) rushed for 170 yards and three of his team’s school-record ten touchdowns as the Bentley University Falcons cruised to a 70-0 victory over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference football at cold Sodexho Field Saturday afternoon.
  • Hudson’s 21 Helps Bentley to 2nd Straight Dominating Win, 97-56 over Concordia (N.Y.)

    Senior forward Chris Hudson (Hodgdon, Maine/Northampton Williston School) scored 21 points and sophomore guard Mason Webb (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuinness HS) followed with 17 as the Bentley University men’s basketball team overpowered Concordia College (N.Y.) 97-56 in the final game of the Bentley Tip-Off Classic Saturday evening at the Dana Center.
