Fehskens Leads Bentley during Northeast-10 Championships

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. – During the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Cross Country Championships, senior Paige Fehskens (Wareham, Mass./Wareham HS) was the top finisher for the Bentley University Falcons. It was the 16th consecutive meet she's been the first Falcon to the line.

Fehskens ran the 6,000-meter course in 25:24.0 to place 22nd overall. She missed earning All-Northeast-10 accolades by one place and 2.9 seconds.

The other Falcon to crack the top 50 was freshman Aubrey Christo (Belmont, Mass./Belmont HS), who was 44th in 26:18.1.

Bentley's top five also included sophomore Samantha Bilodeau (New Ipswich, N.H./Mascenic Reg. HS) in 51st (26:56.4), senior Abbie Newman (Hanson, Mass./Whitman-Hanson Reg. HS) in 71st (27:24.1) and freshman Julia Hultin (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury Reg. HS) in 79th (27:48.5). A total of 136 runners started the race.

The team results had Bentley 10th out of 14 with a 250 score.

Stonehill, with four of the top eight, outran runner-up Southern New Hampshire for the team title, 36-74. The individual champion was Assumption College's Kialeigh Marston, with a 23:27.0. That was about ten seconds faster than runner-up Ashley Corcoran of SNHU.

Bentley's next meet will be the NCAA Division II East Regional Nov. 9 in Philadelphia.
