Fehskens Bentley’s Top Finisher for 11th Straight Race

HOPKINTON, N.H. – Junior Paige Fehskens (Wareham, Mass./Wareham HS) was the number one runner for the Bentley University women's cross country team Sunday during the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at the Hopkinton State Park.

Fehskens, Bentley's top finisher in every meet since the start of the 2017 season, ran the 6,000-meter course in 23:12.41 to take 25th place overall. A total of 144 runners took part in the event.

Samantha Bilodeau (New Ipswich, N.H./Mascenic Reg. HS) continued a solid rookie year for the Falcons by finishing 44th in 23:49.80.

The top 75 also included senior Tina Touri (Watertown, Mass./Watertown HS) and junior Abbie Newman (Hanson, Mass./Whitman-Hanson Reg. HS). Touri was 56th in 24:07.36 and Newman 75th in 25:06.36.

The team results had Bentley tenth among 15 with a score of 246. The Falcons were one of seven to place their top six in the top 94.

Stonehill College, which had the top three finishers and four of the top five, ran away with the team championship. The Skyhawks posted a team score of 2-0 while Merrimack College took second with and 89. Anna Lastra bested teammate Samantha Curtin by 5.75 seconds with a winning effort of 21:57.39.

Bentley's next action is the NCAA Division II East Regional Nov. 17 in Bethpage, N.Y.
