Fehskens Leads Bentley Women for 10th Straight Meet

HOPKINTON, N.H. – For the tenth straight race, dating back to the start of last season, junior Paige Fehskens (Wareham, Mass./Wareham HS) was the number one runner for the Bentley University women's cross country.

During Saturday's Bruce Kirsch Cross Country Cup at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds, Fehskens finished eighth overall with a 5,000-meter time of 19:14.0. She missed the top five by 8.2 seconds and trailed the winner, Saint Rose's Christine Myers, by about 40 seconds. Myers, with a time of 18:34.2, crossed the line 7.2 seconds before runner-up Tia Foglietta of Merrimack.

Bentley's number two runner was freshman Samantha Bilodeau (New Ipswich, N.H./Mascenic Reg. HS), who finished 24th in 19:48.6.  Senior Tina Touri (Watertown, Mass,/Watertown HS) was next for the Falcons and 34th overall (20:06.7).

In the all-Northeast-10 meet, Bentley was sixth of 11 with a score of 161. Finishing in front of the Falcons were Stonehill (40), Merrimack (82), Saint Anselm (108), Southern New Hampshire (115) and Assumption (139).

Bentley will be back on the same course Nov. 4 for the Northeast-10 Conference championships.
