Fehskens Leads Bentley Women at Lewis Conference Crossover
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Junior Paige Fehskens (Wareham, Mass./Wareham HS) was the top runner for the Bentley University women's cross country team during the Lewis University Conference Crossover Saturday morning.
In a meet that attracted eight top 25 squads and teams ranging from Alaska to Massachusetts to Florida to California, Fehskens covered the 6,000-meter course in 24:08.7.
Bentley's next two runners across the finish line were senior Tina Touri (Watertown/ Watertown HS) and freshman Samantha Bilodeau (New Ipswich, N.H./Mascenic Reg. HS). Touri was 150th in 24:48.5 and Bilodeau placed 157th in 24:54.0.
As a team, Bentley was 24th among 28 teams with a score of 712.
Western State, the third-ranked team in Division II, took first easily, outrunning runner-up Simon Fraser 38-146. The Colorado school had the top three individuals with Sophie Seward and Alicia Konieczek both finishing in a meet-best 21:39.
Bentley will return to action Oct. 20 when the Kirsch Cross Country Cup is held in Hopkinton, N.H.
