Fehskens Leads Bentley Women During UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Junior Paige Fehskens (Wareham/Wareham HS) was the top finisher for the Bentley University women's cross country team during the 5,000-meter UMass-Dartmouth Invitational Saturday morning.

Fehskens placed 31st overall in a field of 318 with a time of 19:31.79. She trailed the winner, Brandeis' Emily Bryson (17:54.59), by about a minute and a half.

The other Falcons to crack the top 100 were senior Tina Touri (Watertown/Watertown HS) and freshman Samantha Bilodeau (New Ipswich, N.H./Mascenic Reg. HS). Touri, in her season debut, was 52nd (19:49.16) and Bilodeau was 76th (20:08.45).

As a team, Bentley was 18th of 45. Brandeis captured team honors, easily outrunning second-place Trinity College, 56-105.

The next action for the Falcons is the Lewis University Crossover Challenge in Illinois Oct. 6.
