Bentley Women Finish 6th in NCAA East Regional

AMHERST, N.Y. – Led by sophomore Paige Fehskens (Wareham, Mass./Wareham HS), the Bentley University women's cross country team finished sixth among 25 teams during the NCAA Division II East Regional Saturday at the Audubon Golf Course.

Bentley, with a score of 234, missed the top five by 42 points. At the top of the standings, Assumption College edged Stonehill College by a single point, 45-46.

Fehskens, Bentley's top runner in every race this season, missed earning All-Region honors by just a single place as she finished 26th with a 6,000-meter time of 24:14.9.

The other Falcons to crack the top 50 were sophomore Kaileigh Wimert (Falmouth, Maine/ Falmouth HS) and senior Marianne Bartolotta (Wantagh, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS). Wimert was 39th in 24:39.1 and Bartolotta's 24:55.1 was good for 49th. A total of 173 runners competed in the annual event.
