BOSTON, Mass. – For the fourth time in as many meets this season, sophomore Paige Fehskens (Wareham/Wareham HS) was the number one finisher for the Bentley University women's cross country team.

Competing in the New England Championships, Fehskens was 81st among 194 student-athletes with a 5,000-meter time of 19:34.5. That was an improvement of more than 12 seconds from her showing a year ago and ninth amongst Division II competitors.

Bentley's top four also included a pair of seniors, Marianne Bartolotta (Wantagh, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) and Courtney Loughnane (Canton/Canton HS), and sophomore Kaileigh Wimert (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS).

Bartolotta improved on her 2016 time by seven seconds, finishing 115th in 19:59.1. Loughnane was 142nd in 20:39.8, and Wimert finished in 20:54.6, good for 156th. She improved on last year's clocking by nearly 25 seconds.

As a team, Bentley was 23rd of 28 overall and fifth among seven Division II squads.

The University of New Hampshire took team honors, besting Boston College 101-118, and the individual champion was Heather MacLean of UMass. She won by nearly 20 seconds, finishing in 17:36.1.

This was the final competition for Bentley before the Northeast-10 Championships, which will be held in Westfield on Oct. 22.
