Bio

Kristine Mickelson, a 2010 graduate of Bentley University, returned to her alma mater as an assistant volleyball coach in 2015 and will be in her fourth season on the staff in 2018. In addition, she serves as a Project Manager in Bentley's Marketing and Communications Department.

Mickelson returned to Bentley following two years as head volleyball coach at Suffolk University, where she posted a combined 24-36 record from 2013-14. In her first year at the helm, she led the Rams to their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament appearance in six seasons.

Mickelson played for the late Hall of Fame coach Sandy Hoffman at Bentley from 2006-09, amassing 985 kills, 399 digs and 399 blocks while playing in every match during her four seasons. She earned All-Northeast-10 third-team honors as a junior and senior, and was also an honorable mention AVCA Division II All-East Region selection in 2008.

During her time at Bentley, Mickelson was an athletic student-athlete representative at the NE-10 Spring Conference and the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Development Conference. 

Before joining the Marketing and Communications staff, Mickelson served as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Bentley. She was also the head coach of the men's club volleyball team in 2017.

A native of San Diego, Calif. where she attended Scripps Ranch High School, Mickelson graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, with a minor in global studies. She is currently working on her MS in Human Factors and Information Design at Bentley.
