Bio

The 2023 season will be Konstantin Dimov's fifth as Bentley’s Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach after joining the staff in the spring of 2019.

Dimov, a native of Bulgaria who was raised in Newton and attended the University of Maryland, came to Bentley with significant coaching experience, at both the club and high school levels.

Dimov has been the head coach of both the SMASH 18 Boys and the Boston Hurricanes since 2013, the SMASH 18 Girls in 2017 and 2019, the SMASH 17 Girls in 2018, and the Director of the SMASH Summer Programs since 2015. Several of his teams enjoyed success, including victories in 19 of 26 New England Regional tournaments by the SMASH 18 Boys.

Dimov has also been the boys varsity coach at Boston Latin School since 2013, taking a winless program into a perennial tournament team. He was the JV girls coach and varsity assistant at Newton North High School, his alma mater, from 2014-17. In 2016, he was recognized by the AVCA as one of the "Thirty under 30" top high school coaches in the country.
