WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Dani Milner (Plano, Texas/The Greenhill School) and freshman Ingrid Murphy (Cotuit/Barnstable HS) each recorded ten kills as the Bentley University women's volleyball stayed unbeaten in the Northeast-10 Conference and extended its winning streak to 16 with a 3-0 sweep of Adelphi University Friday night at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-20, 25-19 and 25-19.

The victory, coupled with New Haven's 3-0 loss to Saint Anselm, gave Bentley a two-match lead in the NE10 standings with three to play. Coach Joey Pacis' team improved to 21-4 overall and 10-0 in the conference while Adelphi dipped to 10-9, including 3-5 NE10.

Milner hit an impressive .417 from her outside position with no errors in 24 swings. Murphy, the recipient of the last two NE10 Rookie of the Week awards, complemented her ten kills with eight digs and two service aces.

Each had three kills in the opening set, which saw the Falcons maintain the lead from the opening point. They also came up big in the second with Murphy recording five kills, along with six digs, and Milner three.

Adelphi's only leads of the night came in the third set, but Bentley closed with a 14-6 run. That included five unanswered points that turned a 13-11 deficit into a 16-13 advantage.

Sophomore Shannon Ngo (San Rafael, Calif./Terra Linda HS) also had a solid hitting performance for Bentley, with eight kills and a .400 success rate. Senior and three-time NE10 Setter of the Week Xio Lopp (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead HS) continued her string of strong performances with 35 assists, eight digs and four kills.

Leading the Falcons in digs was junior Kirsten Segaline (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain HS), with 13.

Bentley finished with 13 more kills than the visiting Panthers, 43-30, and limited Adelphi to a .080 hitting percentage. It was the tenth time this season a Falcon opponent was held under .100.

The next match for the Falcons is next Saturday afternoon at second-place American International.
