LAKEWOOD, N.J. –Dani Milner (Plano, Texas./Greenhill School), a first-team All-Northeast-10 selection in 2017, kicked off her junior year in solid fashion, but it wasn't enough as the Bentley University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches in a triangular at Georgian Court University Saturday afternoon.

In its opener, Bentley fell in five sets to Georgian Court as the Lions picked up the final two points for a 17-15 victory in the finale. The Falcons were swept by West Chester University, an NCAA tournament team last fall, in their second match of the day with the scores 25-20, 25-17 and 25-16.

Milner averaged 3.13 kills, 2.75 digs and 3.4 points in the two matches while hitting a team-best .338.

Bentley started slow against Georgian Court, dropping the first two sets, 25-23 and 25-16. The Falcons stormed back to take the next two, 25-14 and 25-21, to send the match to the fifth. Bentley held a 10-8 lead in the fifth before the Lions reversed the differential with four straight points.

The Falcons tied the score at 13, 14 and 15 before the home team used kills from sophomore outside hitter Leah Wieland (Lancaster, Pa.) and junior right side Shana Rayside (Lakewood, N.J.) to claim the victory.

Milner hit .389 with 16 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore Kirsten Segaline (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain HS) followed with 12 kills, junior libero Emily Barthelmes (Buchanan, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson HS) recorded 15 digs and senior setter Krista Campbell (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North HS) served three aces.

Senior outside hitter Peggy Rosario (Toa Baja, P.R.) led Georgian Court with 17 kills, nine digs and four of her team's 13 service aces.

Senior defensive specialist Alex Gleason (Landenberg, Pa.) registered five aces and senior middle Allie Duffy (Carlisle, Pa.) had nine kills without an error to power West Chester in the day's second match. The Golden Rams scored the final three points to capture the opening set, finished the second with a 9-4 run and closed out the third with an 11-2 run.

For Bentley, Milner led the way with nine kills and junior middle Rachel Bruno (San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker HS) hit .583 with seven kills.
