Bentley Concludes Competition at 2018 New Englands

HANOVER, N.H. – Season-best times in both the men's and women's 4x400 meter relays wrapped up competition for the Bentley University track and field teams during the 2018 New England Championships Saturday afternoon at Dartmouth College.

In the men 's 4x400, senior Nick Skarin (Sunapee, N.H./Sunapee HS) combined with sophomores Alex Arnold (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy), Robert Moritz (Singapore) and Josh Gettinga (Lowell, Mass./Lowell HS) for a time of 3:22.68. They placed 16th overall with the sixth best time in program history.

In the women's relay, juniors Stephanie Mattson (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield HS) and Abby Forman (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland HS) teamed with sophomores Kirsten Lebreux (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford HS) and Chantel Lewis (Bronx, N.Y./ Manhatten Center for Science & Math) to place 16th in 4:08.15. On Bentley's all-time list, that ranked 11th.

Earlier in the day, Mattson, Lewis, senior Monica Levy (Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun HS) and sophomore Dom Balzona-Rivert (Templeton, Mass./Narragansett Reg. HS) posted the second fastest 4x100 in program history, their time of 49.66 one hundredth of a second off the school record the same quartet set two weeks ago. In the meet, they placed 14th.

The only Falcon to compete in an individual event Saturday was Skarin, who was 12th in the 800 (1:52.76).

The Bentley men finished 27th in the two-day meet and the Falcon women were 31st.
