CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Stephanie Mattson (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield HS) and freshman Sydney Hurwitz (Newton/Newton North HS) were the top performers for the Bentley University women's indoor track and field team Saturday during the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT.

Mattson, coming off a school record-setting performance Friday in the 200 during the David Hemery Valentine's Invitational at MIT, was third of 40 in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet, 4.25 inches.

Close behind her in fifth was Hurwitz, whose jump of 16'7.25" broke her own personal best by five-and-a-half inches. It also elevated her to fourth on Bentley's all-time list.

Other Bentley highlights included senior Courtney Loughnane (Canton/Canton HS) fourth of nine in the 5,000 (20:17.57), sophomore Dom Balzora-Rivert (Templeton/Narragansett Regional HS) eighth of 19 in the triple jump (32'5.75") and sophomore Juliana Harrison (Northford, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy) 13th of 33 in the 200 (29.91).

Next weekend, Bentley will be at Smith College for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.
