Balzora-Rivert & Forman Achieve Top 10 Finishes at MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Dom Balzora-Rivert (Templeton/Narragansett Regional HS) and sophomore Abby Forman (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland HS) achieved top-ten finishes while competing for the Bentley University women's outdoor track and field team during Saturday's Sean Collier Invitational at MIT.

Balzora-Rivert was fifth of 13 in the triple jump with her distance of 32'9.75" moving her to ninth on Bentley's all-time list in the event. It improved on her previous collegiate best by five-and-a-quarter inches.

Balzora-Rivert also established a new PR in the 100 meters (13.46) while placing 13th of 36. She also ran the opening leg of Bentley's 4x100 relay that was fifth of ten in 52.04 seconds. That relay team also included junior Monica Levy (Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun HS) and freshmen Chantel Lewis (Bronx, N.Y./Manhattan Center for Science and Math) and Kayla Fraser (East Longmeadow/East Longmeadow HS).

Forman was the sixth of 21 runners to cross the finish line in the 400 meters, finishing in 1:03.26. She also ran the 200 with her time of 28.28 a new PR and good for 16th out of 41.

Also in the 200, Lewis was 13th (28.04) and Levy followed in 15th (28.15).

In the 1500, freshman Abbie Newman (Hanson/Whitman-Hanson Reg. HS) covered the distance in 5:05.79 and finished 13 among 49.

Bentley will be at Stonehill College the next two weekends for the Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational next Saturday and the Northeast-10 Conference Championships May 5-6.
