Strong Performances for Bentley Track at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior Sean Nee (West Yarmouth, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS) was among four Bentley University runners who achieved new personal bests while competing in the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University Friday night.

Nee shaved 5.40 seconds off his PR in the 800 meters , finishing in 1:52.58. He placed 35th of 78 overall and missed out on an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark by a quarter-of-a-second. Nee moved to number four on the Northeast-10 Conference performance list as well as to number three in Bentley history.

  Junior Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) returned to his home state to run the 1500 in 3:55.75, a PR by 1.95 seconds. He finished 61st among 86 competitors while registering the sixth best time in the NE-10 this season and the seventh best in program history.

On the women's side, sophomore Marianne Bartolotta (Wantagh, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) and junior Julia Morena (Boylston, Mass./Tahanto Reg. HS) achieved new personal bests while competing in the 1500 and 5000, respectively.

Morena's time of 18:40.12, a PR by 13.47 seconds, was good for tenth on Bentley's all-time list and 11th on the NE-10 list. She was 62nd among 72 runners in the meet.

Bartolotta moved to ninth on the NE-10 list and 12th in program history while running the 1500 in 4:54.14. It improved on her previous best by 6.38 seconds and put her 73rd of 79 overall.

Also competing for Bentley at Princeton was sophomore Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/ Thornton Academy), who ran the 5,000 in 15:33.61, placing 77th of 90.

The rest of Bentley's team will compete in the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT Saturday.
