Bentley Set for Saturday’s Northeast-10 Indoor Track Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University Falcons will be at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston Saturday afternoon and evening for the 14th annual Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track Championship. Action is scheduled to get underway at 4 pm.

Ten Bentley athletes are seeded in the top eight in at least one event, including Capital One Academic All-America® and cross country All-America Tara Dooley (Lee/Lee HS). She's one of four Falcons entered in the mile with her qualifying time of 5:16.74 third best. Dooley is also expected to compete in the distance medley relay for Bentley.

Also competing in the mile for Bentley will be sophomore Danielle Coskren (North Andover/North Andover HS) and freshmen Marianne Bartolotta (Wantagh, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) and Caroline Conrad (Bedford, N.H./Bedford HS), who are seeded seventh, eighth and tenth.

Freshman Nick Skarin (Sunapee, N.H./Sunapee HS) has the fifth-best seed time in the 500 meters (1:06.98), and senior Brynnan Farrington (Shirley/Ayer HS) is number six in the shot put with a throw of 38 feet, 1.5 inches. At last year's championships, she placed fifth with a 37'5.75" distance.

Four men are seeded seventh in their respective event with that list including senior Christian Connolly (Kingston/Silver Lake Regional HS) in the 800, junior David Cooper (Woburn/Woburn HS) in the mile and sophomores Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) in the 1000 and Cullen McHale (Burlington, Conn./Lewis S. Mills HS) in the 5000. Last year, Connolly was sixth in the 800, Haas ran to seventh in the mile and Cooper was ninth in the mile.

Senior Alix Pettinella (Wingdale, N.Y./Arlington HS) finished eighth in the 1000 a year ago and is seeded in that same position this year with a 3:13.26.

Junior Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, N.Y./West Warwick HS) is the defending champion in the 200 meters and was also third in 60 in 2014. After spending the fall semester studying at sea, he's still rounding into form but has improved each week with his seeds 11th in the 60 and 15th in the 200.

The men's triple jump projects to be a deep event this year. Junior Connor Hichens (Sharon/Sharon HS) went 45'7" to finish third in 2014, but four of this year's competitors have exceeded 48 feet. Hichens, whose best this season is 43'8.5", is seeded 11th going into the conference meet.

A preseason poll of conference coaches has the Bentley men projected for seventh and the women eighth, mirroring the teams' finishes a year ago.
