Farrington & Carlson Climb on NE-10 Performance List during Sean Collier Memorial

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Juniors Brynnan Farrington (Shirley/Ayer HS) and Jacqueline Carlson (Kensington, Conn./Berlin HS) were among the top performers for the Bentley University women's outdoor track and field team during Saturday's Sean Collier Memorial at MIT's Henry Steinbrenner Stadium.

Both climbed on the Northeast-10 Conference performance list with the two accounting for two of the ten new PRs the Bentley women posted in the meet.

Farrington was fourth of 17 in the shot put with her thrown of 38'6.75" putting her fifth on the NE-10 list. Carlson moved to seventh in the javelin after placing seventh of 22 (111'3").

Senior Taren Kershaw (Revere/Revere HS) achieved a pair of new PRs with times of 27.42 seconds in the 200 meters and 1:02.07 in the 400. She placed 14th of 30 in the former event and was eighth of 19 in the 400.

Sophomore Samantha Albanese (Lynnfield/Lynnfield HS) finished fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase (11:50.87) and classmate Chayna McDermott (Milton/Milton HS) was seventh in the triple jump, her distance of 31'8.5" a new personal best.

In the 1500, freshmen Danielle Coskren (North Andover/North Andover HS) and Katie Burke (Braintree/Braintree HS) both achieved new PRs. Coskren was tenth of 34 in 4:59.79 and Burke was 15th in 5:09.41. Junior Alix Pettinella (Wingdale, N.Y./Arlington HS) was 16th of 37 in the 800 with her 2:26.62 a team season-best.

This week's schedule for the Falcons includes senior Ashley Nichols (Kenmore, Wash./ Inglemoor HS) competing in the 10,000 at the Penn Relays Thursday night and the full team in action at the Stonehill Invitational Friday and the Regis Invitational Sunday.
