Bentley Drops NE10 Match to Assumption
Waltham, Mass. – Visitors Assumption came away with a 7-0 victory over the Bentley women's tennis team on Sunday in the Falcons' final match of the fall season.
There were a couple of tight matches between the two teams. That included the No. 1 doubles match between Bentley's Alessa Matuty (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) and Zoe Chin (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) against Assumption's Julia Chappell and Maria Monje, which the Greyhounds' team won 6-3.
In singles, Matuty and Chappell squared off in the No. 1 match. The first set went to Chappell 6-3, before she closed it out in the second set. In the No. 2 match Chin was paired against Monje, which saw the Assumption player earn a 6-2, 6-3 win.
Assumption improved to 5-5 overall and 4-5 NE10 with the win.
