Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University's Alessa Matuty (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) was named the NE10 Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after a pair of wins in Bentley's match at Holy Cross last week.

Matuty won in No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles against the Division I Crusaders. She was victorious in the singles match by a 6-0, 7-5 score, and teamed with sophomore Evann Welty (Wayzata, Minn./Mound Westonka) for a 7-5 win in doubles.

Matuty is now 3-1 in both singles and doubles matches this spring. She and the Falcons continue their spring season on Friday at Nichols.
