Bentley Sees Winning Streak Snapped at Southern N.H.

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Bentley University women's tennis team saw its six match winning streak halted on Wednesday night in a 9-0 defeat at Southern N.H. The result dropped Bentley's records to 7-3, both overall and in the Northeast-10.

While the Penmen took the No. 1 doubles match 8-2, the Falcons came close in the No. 2 and 3 matches. Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington HS) and Katie Brandow (East Northport, N.Y./Northport HS) narrowly dropped the No. 2 match 8-6, while Corrie MacLean (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull HS) and Tiffany Suchanek (Waterville, Maine/Waterville HS) came up short 8-5 in the No. 3 match.

In singles, Suchanek batted but dropped a tough one in the No. 3 match. Faced against Anna Sala, both sets went to a tiebreak, but Sala emerged 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-3).

Despite the defeat, Bentley remains in a three-way tie for 4th place with two matches left. They next face Merrimack at home on Saturday.
