Women’s Tennis Rolls on, Beats Saint Rose 7-2 for 6th Straight Win

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University women's tennis team continued to roll on Saturday, as the Falcons posted a 7-2 victory over Saint Rose on Homecoming Day for its 6th straight victory. Sophomore Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington HS) was a double winner on the day.

Fabianski and junior Katie Brandow (East Northport, N.Y./Northport HS) won the No. 1 doubles match for Bentley with an 8-0 sweep. Seniors Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM) and Kayla Anghinetti (Seekonk/Bishop Feehan) faced similar little resistance with an 8-1 victory in the No. 3 match.

In singles, Fabianski was Bentley's top winner. In the No. 2 match, she posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Two players, Alexia Petruzziello (North Haven, Conn./North Haven HS) and Rachel Madden (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford Senior) swept to 6-0, 6-0 wins. Petruzziello in the No. 5 match, and Madden in the No. 6 match.

The Falcons are now 7-2, both overall and in NE-10 matches, with three to go in the regular season. They visit Southern N.H. on Wednesday, before closing at home against Merrimack and Le Moyne.
