Bentley Claims 5th Straight Win, 8-1 Over AIC

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Bentley University swept the singles matches on its way to an 8-1 road victory over AIC for the team's 5th straight victory on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons improved their record to 6-2 on the season both overall and in the Northeast-10.

Corrie MacLean (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) and Tiffany Suchanek (Waterville, Maine/Waterville) both claimed two wins on the day. While in singles, Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM), Jill Kamphaus (Walpole, Mass./Ursuline Academy) and MacLean all won their singles matches without dropping a game.

In No. 2 doubles, MacLean and Suchanek defeated Eleanna Fulop and Logan Smith 8-3. While in No. 3 doubles, Rachel Madden (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford HS) and Alexia Petruzziello (North Haven, Conn./North Haven HS) blanked Taeha Woodard and Alice Calabrese 8-0.

Stowe in No. 4 singles, Kamphaus in No. 5 singles and MacLean in No. 6 all blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0. Suchanek won her second match of the day in No. 3 singles and dropped just two games, 6-1, 6-0.

Bentley's top two singles players, Rachel Petrini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) and Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington HS) won as well. Fabianski dropped just one game in the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-0. While Petrini battled back after she dropped the first set in the top match, and emerged a 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 winner.

The Falcons will go for their 6th straight win on Saturday when they host Saint Rose.
