WALTHAM, Mass. – Visiting Southern New Hampshire took an 8-1 win over Bentley on Wednesday afternoon in a matchup of potential Northeast-10 playoff teams.

Southern took control of the match with a sweep of doubles, then added to its advantage with five of six wins in singles play. The Penmen improve to 7-1 in NE-10 play and have won six in a row. The Falcons drop to 6-4 in the NE-10 and end the day in a tie for 6^th place in the conference.

Bentley's win in singles came from freshman Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) in the No. 3 match. She defeated Yolanda Green 6-2, 4-6, 11-9.

The Falcons are right back in action on Thursday with another key match when they visit Merrimack
