Southern Indiana Sweeps Bentley
COCOA BEACH, Fla. – Southern Indiana, which competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, swept the Bentley women's tennis team in a non-conference match on Thursday down in Florida.
The Screaming Eagles, who improve to 8-3 on the season, won all three doubles and the six singles matches. Bentley falls to 7-9 overall.
Sophomore Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM), who had won two straight singles matches entering the day, took Jennifer Mizikar to three sets in a tight No. 6 match. Mizikar won the first set 6-2, but Stowe rallied in the second set and won 6-4. Mizikar though claimed the match by winning the third set 11-9.
Bentley continues its spring break trip on Friday when they take on Marian University at 1:00 pm.
