Bentley Falls to Aquinas 6-3 in Spring Trip Opener

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Bentley University women's tennis team got its spring break trip underway on Saturday in Orlando, but suffered a 6-3 defeat to Aquinas College. Sophomore Brittani Hetyei (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) and freshman Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM) won in singles for the Falcons.

Hetyei won in fourth-flight singles over Tiffany Tuori 6-2, 2-6, 7-5. While Stowe was Bentley's second winner in singles, beating Marjeanne Bothma in the fifth-flight, 6-2, 6-0.

The Falcons won the top-flight match in doubles, as the team of Rachel Petrini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) and Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills) defeated Lauren Ramsey and Tuori, 8-4.

Bentley, which suffered just its first loss of the season, to falls to 5-1. They continue their spring break trip on Monday when they play Southern Indiana.
