Kaduboski Repeats as CSCAA Scholar All-America; Elenio Also Honored

WALTHAM, Mass. – Recent Bentley University graduate Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) has been named a first-team Scholar All-America by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). It's the second straight year she's received the honor.

Also recognized by the CSCAA, as an honorable mention Scholar All-America, was another recent graduate and 2018-19 co-captain, Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies).

First-team honors are bestowed to those student-athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or better and competed in their national championship. Requirements for honorable mention recognition are attaining a GPA of at least 3.50 and achieving a "B" time standard.

Kaduboski made her second straight trip to the NCAA Division II Championships were she closed out her collegiate career by competing in both the 200 and 400 yard individual medley events. She was 41st in the 200 and 27th in the 400.

During the Northeast-Championships, Kaduboski claimed four titles as she swam to victory in both the 200 IM and 400 IM, and also helped Bentley to wins in both the 400 free relay and the 800 free relay. School records were achieved in all four events and she was also the runner-up in the 200 backstroke.

Kaduboski finished her career with 22 NE10 medals, including eight gold medals (three individual, five relay), and her name attached to seven school records (three individual, four relay).

Elenio was the Northeast-10 champion in the 200 IM, 400 IM and the 800 free relay, and was also the bronze-medal winner in the 200 butterfly and two more relays. He broke the school record in each of those six events with his B cuts coming in the 200 IM and 400 IM.

During his four Bentley seasons, Elenio earned 13 conference medals, including three golds and four silvers. He was selected to the Academic All-Northeast-10 team for the third time earlier this year.

Both Kaduboski and Elenio majored in accounting.
