Kaduboski Earns NE10 Title in 400 IM; Bentley Slides to 3rd in Team Standings

WORCESTER, Mass. – Bentley University senior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) earned the only gold medal of Day 3 for the Falcons during the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday at WPI.

Kaduboski defended her NE10 Championship in the 400 individual medley with her 4:25.76 bettering the school record she set last February by 0.89 seconds. It was an NCAA "B" cut as well.

In the team standings, Bentley fell behind both Assumption College and Southern Connecticut State. Assumption will enter Sunday's final round day of completion with 620 points and leads of 64 points over Southern and 105 over the Falcons.

The only other Falcon who made a trip to the podium Saturday night was freshman Lucy Slowe (Millis/Millis HS), who was second in the 200 freestyle. Her time of 1:54.48 was a school record, breaking a mark that had stood since 2012.

Also in the 200 free, senior Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) finished fourth with a 1:54.53.

Bentley was fourth in the 200 medley relay with junior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS), junior Ari Revelas (Snyder, N.Y./Nardin Academy), freshman Rona Mejiritski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green HS) and Kaduboski teaming to finish in 1:49.26.

Seventh-place finishes were achieved by Revelas in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.11) and Mejiritski in the 100 butterfly (59.15).
