Kaduboski Triples as Bentley Sweeps St. Michael’s, 223-50

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Senior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) was a triple winner as the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team returned from a month-long holiday break to capture all 16 events in a 223-50 victory over St. Michael's College Thursday evening at the Ross Sports Center.

It was the 17th straight dual victory for the Falcons, who improved to 7-0 on the season.

Kaduboski's closest race of the meet came in the 200 yard freestyle as she won by six-tenths of a second with a 2:01.88. She prevailed in the 200 backstroke in 2:14.67 with a winning margin of 12:84 seconds, and finished nearly 22 seconds in front of the runner-up with a 4:42.53 in the 400 individual medley.

Double-winners for the Falcons in swimming events were senior Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) and junior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS). Viator was first to touch in the 50 back (29.79) and the 500 freestyle (5:23.26) while Viator captured the meet's two longest races. She swam the 1000 free in 11:12.08 and the 500 free in 5:23.26.

Freshman Sarah Vojta (Morris Plains, N.J./Morris County School of Technology) swept the two one-meter diving events with a combined total of 267.35 points.

The other individual victories for the Falcons were achieved by freshman Lucy Slowe (Millis, Mass./Millis HS) in the 100 free (55.85), sophomore Selin Karadeniz (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./ Arlington HS) in the 200 breaststroke (2:40.03), junior Lea Guldemond (West Newbury, Mass./Central Catholic HS) in the 50 free (26.32), senior Brooke Jameson (Bedford, Mass./Bedford HS) in the 50 breast (34.30) and freshman Rona Mejiritski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green HS) in the 200 fly (2:14.70).

Guldemond was also a part of both of Bentley's winning relays.

The Falcons will also be on the road Saturday for a 1 pm meet at Keene State.
