Sweet & 400 Free Relay Team Honored by Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – This week's list of swimming and diving honorees in the Northeast-10 Conference included Bentley University freshman Emily Sweet (Nashua, N.H./Nashua North HS)         and the Falcons' 400 freestyle relay team.

Sweet was named the conference's women's swimming Rookie of the Week. She was a double-winner in a 165.5-96.5 win at Merrimack as she turned in winning performances in the 200 yard freestyle (2:02.01) and the 200 individual medley (2:17.87). In addition, she was fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:03.40).

Seniors Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS), Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) and Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) combined with junior Lea Guldemond (West Newbury, Mass./Central Catholic HS) to earn Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week accolades. They teamed to finish first in 3:48.72, third best on the NE10 performance list.

The NE10 Weekly Honor Roll included junior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS). Against Merrimack, she finished first in the 50 yard butterfly (28.73), helped Bentley to victory in the 200 medley relay (1:55.13) and was second to reach the wall in the 50 backstroke (29.23).

Bentley, 4-0, will swim at Brandeis University tonight.
