MacNeil Leads Bentley to 7th Straight Victory, 177-121 over Pace

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University sophomore Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) posted three individual wins and participated on a winning relay, helping the Falcons post a 177-121 win over Pace University in women's swimming and diving at the Dana Center pool Friday afternoon. The victory was the seventh straight for the Falcons after a season-opening loss.

MacNeil opened the meet by swimming the first leg on Bentley's 200 yard medley relay that won in 1:53.86. She was followed into the pool by sophomore Ari Revelas (Snyder, N.Y./Nardin Academy), senior Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) and junior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/ Dedham HS).

MacNeil's afternoon also included wins in the 200 freestyle (1:58.85), the 100 free (55.47 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (1:00.95). The closest of those three races was the 200 free where she touched 0.87 seconds ahead of Pace's Jana Ciric.

Junior Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) captured the meet's two longest races, taking the 1000 free in 10:54.68 and the 500 free in 5:17.96. Her 1000 time was the fourth best posted in the Northeast-10 Conference this season.

The other three relay swimmers also turned in winning performances with Kaduboski doubling. She touched in 1:01.30 in the 100 backstroke and claimed the 200 individual medley in 2:12.20. Warren took first in the 200 butterfly (2:11.88) and Revelas prevailed in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.31).

Bentley will complete the home portion of its schedule on Saturday with a 1 pm meet against Keene State.
