Bentley Captures All 16 Events During 168-76 Win over Norwich

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University women's swimming and diving team completed the 2017 portion of its schedule by capturing every event in a 168-76 victory over Norwich University Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center Pool.

Nine different Falcons won individual events with the list of double-winners including juniors Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) and Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS).

Kaduboski was first to the wall in both the 1000 yard freestyle (10:57.65) and the 100 free (55.67) while Viator took first in both the 50 breaststroke (34:26) and the 400 individual medley (4:50.44).

Sophomore Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) doubled in the 50 backstroke (28.19) and the 50 butterfly (27.49), and also was part of the Falcons' winning 200 medley relay team (1:58.64).

Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS), also a sophomore, swept the diving with scores of 222.15 off the one-meter board and 196.45 from the three-meter.

The other individual winners for Bentley were senior Jess Chen (Darien, Conn./ Darien HS) in the 200 free (2:01.74), sophomore Lea Guldemond (West Newbury/ Central Catholic HS) in the 50 free (26.08), junior Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) in the 100 breast (1:14.23), senior Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) in the 500 free (5:24.32) and classmate Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) in the 100 back (1:06.43).

Freshman Kayla Metivier (Kingston, N.H./Sanborn Reg. HS) was part of both relays for the Falcons.

Bentley will take a 5-1 record and a dual winning streak of five into the exam and holiday break. The Falcons will resume action on January 9 against St. Michael's College.
