Kaduboski & Karadeniz Double as Bentley Swims Past Merrimack, 135-70

WALTHAM, Mass. – Junior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) and freshman Selin Karadeniz (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington HS) each won a pair of individual events as Bentley University posted a 135-70 win over Merrimack College in women's swimming action Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center.

Kaduboski, unbeaten in her last 12 individual races, finished first in the 200 yard butterfly (2:15.74) and the 500 freestyle (5:26.56). Karadeniz' wins came in the 200 individual medley (2:18.97) and the 200 breaststroke (2:36.19).

The two also combined with seniors Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) and Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) for a first-place showing in the 400 medley relay (4:10.89).

Bentley's other individual winners were Niemiec in the 50 free (25.76), sophomore Paige MacNeil (Brandon, Conn./Branford HS) in the 200 free (2:01.49) and sophomore diver Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) on the one-meter board (189.01).

Bentley wrapped up the meet by winning the 400 free relay in 3:48.09. That quartet included MacNeil, senior Jess Chen (Darien, Conn./Darien HS), sophomore Lea Guldemond (West Newbury/ Central Catholic HS) and junior Hannah Rauch (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park HS).

Bentley will return to action Dec. 1-3 with the Gompei Invitational at WPI.
