Bentley Cruises to 164-61 Win over Saint Rose; Kaduboski Posts a Pair of NE10 Bests

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University women's swimming and diving team opened its home schedule by going 1-2-3 in the first five events and cruised to a 164-61 victory over The College of Saint Rose Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center.

Leading the Falcons was junior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS), who achieved the Northeast-10 Conference's best time of the season in both the 400 yard individual medley and the 100 backstroke. She touched first in the 400 IM by 5.27 seconds with a 4:38.07 and the 100 back by 2.56 seconds with a 1:00.43.

Kaduboski was also part of the Falcons' winning 400 medley relay team that finished with the conference's second best time to date, 4:07.54. That quartet also included seniors Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) and Jess Chen (Darien, Conn./Darien HS), as well as sophomore Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS).

MacNeil also took first in the 100 butterfly (1:00.44, second best on the NE10 list) and Chen was victorious in the 100 free (56.88).

Other individual winners for the 2-1 Falcons were freshman Kayla Metivier (Kingston, N.H./ Sanborn Reg. HS) in the 1000 free (11:41.38), junior Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) in the 200 free (2:01.79), sophomore Lee Guldemond (West Newbury/Central Catholic HS) in the 50 free (26.09), junior Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) in the 500 free (5:24.00) and sophomore Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) in the one-meter diving (239.40).

Bentley completed the meet with Jameson, MacNeil, Viator and junior Hannah Rauch (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park HS) for a winning performance of 3:45.23 in the 400 free relay.

Bentley returns to action Nov. 17 with a home meet against Brandeis University.
