McGahie & Kaduboski Triple as Bentley Women Extend Win Streak to 10, 145-99 over Bridgewater State

WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) and sophomore Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) each tripled as the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team celebrated Senior Night with its tenth straight win, 145-99 over Bridgewater State at the Dana Center pool.

McGahie opened the night by combining with junior Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) and the team's other two seniors, Nicole Hellstern (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug HS) and Laura Schlenker (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South HS), to take the 200 yard medley relay in 1:51.46.

McGahie, in her penultimate Dana Center appearance, also posted victories in the 50 freestyle (25.39), the 100 free (55.25) and the 100 individual medley (1:02.98). In each of those three events, she led a 1-2-3 Bentley performance.

Kaduboski's wins came in the 200 free (2:00.18), the 200 backstroke (2:09.96) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.31). As was the case in each of McGahie's events, the Falcons finished 1-2-3 in all three.

Niemiec, sophomore Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) and freshman Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) were all double-winners. Niemiec touched first in the 100 breast (1:10.80) and the 200 breast (2:30.93), Viator reached the wall first in the 100 back (1:02.96) and the 500 free (5:22.16) and Logozzo swept diving (230.60 one meter, 194.02 three meter).

Bentley's other individual win came from junior Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) in the 200 fly (2:20.07).

Bentley, 10-1, will wrap up its dual schedule on Sunday at home against Merrimack.
