Bentley Women Swim to 8th Straight Win, 131-75

WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) and senior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) both won two individual events, leading the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team to its eighth straight win, 131-75 over Babson College Tuesday night at the Dana Center pool.

Kaduboski reached the wall first in a pair of freestyle events, posting winning times of 10:55.74 for 1,000 yards and 56.12 in the 100. McGahie's victories came in the 50 free (25.86) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.67).

Junior Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) also played a significant role in the win as she won the 100 backstroke (1:03.77) and participated in both winning relays.  Junior Jess Chen (Darien, Conn./Darien HS) was also part of both with Bentley posting times of 4:22.55 in the 400 medley and 1:49.18 in the 200 free (1:49.18).

The 400 medley also included junior Anne Warren (Ellicott City, N.Y./Mt. Hebron HS) and freshman Emily Weiner (Mansfield/Mansfield HS) while the other two that swam the 200 free were sophomores Jennifer Seuling (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial HS) and Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS).

Also posting first-place finishes for Bentley were Warren in the 500 free (5:37.16), sophomore Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) in the 200 free (2:02.10), freshman Lea Guldemond (West Newbury/Central Catholic HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:26.45) and senior Nicole Hellstern (Southbury, Conn./ Pomperaug HS) in the 100 butterfly (1:05.13).

Bentley, 8-1, will return to action Saturday at St. Michael's.
