Kaduboski Excels as Bentley Women Swim Past Le Moyne, 176-122

WALTHAM, Mass. – After participating on the Falcons' winning 200 yard medley relay to start the meet, Bentley University sophomore Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) won three events, all with the best times of the young season in the Northeast-10 Conference, to power her team to a 176-122 victory over Le Moyne College in women's swimming action Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Bentley took a lead it never relinquished by capturing the 200 medley in a meet record 1:52.18. Kaduboski was followed into the pool by junior Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS), sophomore Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) and senior captain Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS).

Kaduboski's wins came in the 100 backstroke (1:01.47), 200 back (2:10.44) and the 200 individual medley (2:15.24) with each of those clockings the best in the NE-10 so far this season.

McGahie (50 freestyle, 100 free) and Viator (200 free, 100 butterfly) were both double-winners for Bentley. McGahie recorded meet records and NE-10 bests in both events with times of 24.95 and 54.90, respectively. Viator captured the 200 free in 2:01.82 and the 100 fly in 1:01.96.

Freshman Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersf\ield HS) swept the two one-meter diving events, with a combined score of 354.99.

Completing the list of winners for Bentley, which captured 13 of 16 events, were Niemiec in the 200 breaststroke (NE-10 best 2:31.42), junior Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) in the 200 fly (2:19.25) and sophomore  Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) in the 1000 free (11:24.70).  Niemiec also had a pair of second-place finishes (200 individual medley, 100 breast).

Bentley, 1-1, will take on The College of Saint Rose next Sunday at RPI.
