WALTHAM, Mass. – Following an impressive effort last Saturday against Wheaton College, Bentley University senior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) has been named the Women's Swimmer of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference by collegeswimming.com.

McGahie achieved the NE-10's fastest 100-yard freestyle time of the season (55.18) while finishing first in both the 50 free (25.61) and 100 free, and placing second in the 200  breaststroke (1:10.85).

McGahie, one of the Falcons' captains and last season's co-MVP, has 11 career Northeast-10 medals, including a gold in the 800 free relay last February, and four school records, including the individual marks in the 50 free and the 100 individual medley.

Bentley opens its home schedule Sunday afternoon against Le Moyne College.
