Mancini Breaks Own Record as Bentley Edges By Roger Williams, 151-145

WALTHAM, Mass. – A 30-1 point advantage in diving, led by a record-setting performance by senior All-America Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS), powered Bentley University to a 151-145 victory over Roger Williams University in women's swimming action Friday night at the Dana Center pool.

Mancini swept the two diving events with her NCAA qualifying score of 312.55 on the three-meter board breaking both the pool and school record of 307.64, which she set back in November 2013. The two-time Northeast-10 Women's Diving Athlete of the Year also posted a winning effort of 275.75 from the one-meter.

Bentley received second-place efforts in diving from senior Courtney Stone (Andover/Andover HS) in the one-meter (238.95) and sophomore Kayla Ducharme (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) in the three-meter (261.95).

Six Falcon swimmers captured their events, including freshman Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/ Dedham HS) and sophomore Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS). Kaduboski won the 100 yard backstroke with her time of 1:01.91 fourth best in the NE-10 so far this season. Warren's winning time of 2:14.78 in the 200 butterfly was third best in the conference to date. Warren was also second in the 1000 free, finishing in 11:38.40.

Other Bentley winners were senior Kelly Culkin (Avon, Conn./Avon HS) in the 1000 free (11:25.86), junior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) in the 200 free (2:01.16), sophomore Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Mahoney HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:16.06) and freshman Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) in the 500 free (5:26.30).

Niemiec also had two seconds (100 and 200 breaststroke) while McGahie (50 free) and Jameson (200 free) each had one.

Bentley, 2-1, will return to action with a home meet against Saint Rose Nov. 15.
