Quartet of Double-Winners Help Bentley Best Le Moyne, 155-145

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – One student-athlete from each class were all double-winners as Bentley University pulled out a 155-145 victory over Le Moyne College Saturday afternoon at the Vincent B. Ryan Pool.

They were freshman Brooke Jameson (Bedford, Mass./Bedford HS), sophomore Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS), junior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston, Mass./Tahanto Reg. HS) and senior All-America Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS)

Warren notched wins in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:20.73) and the 200 butterfly (2:18.43) while also recording a second in the 100 fly (1:03.26). McGahie's victories came in the 50 free (25.35) and 100 free (55.62), and Mancini took both one-meter diving competitions with scores of 200.95 and 270.20. Jameson was first to the wall in the 200 free (2:01.32) and 500 free (5:28.96).

Keys to the victory were Bentley going 1-2-3 in both the 500 free and the second diving competition. In the former, Jameson was followed by a pair of classmates, Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) and Hannah Rauch (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park HS). Viator finished in 5:30.76 and Rach posted a 5:35.94.

Following Mancini in the diving results were senior Courtney Stone (Andover, Mass./ Andover HS) and sophomore Kayla Ducharme (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford HS), with scores of 222.40 and 204.65, respectively. Stone was also second in the first dive with a 168.20.

Sophomore Emily Niemiec  (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) helped with seconds in three events (100 breaststroke, 200 breast, 200 individual medley), and freshman Kate Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) posted seconds in both backstroke events.

Bentley, 1-1, will make its home debut Friday night against Roger Williams.
