Mancini Named Scholar All-America by CSCAA; Niemiec Also Recognized

Recent Bentley University graduate Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/ Falmouth HS), a four-time All-America who plans to return this coming year for her final season of eligibility, has been named a Scholar All-America by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for her combined success in the pool and in the classroom.

Men’s basketball’s Tyler McFarland (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills HS) and diver Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS), both of whom received All-America recognition in their respective sports, were named Bentley University’s Outstanding Senior Athletes Monday night during a Division of Student Affairs awards program in the Dana Center’s Carleton Room. In addition, hockey standout Andrew Gladiuk (White Rock, B.C./Nanaimo Clippers) was presented with the Edward J. Powers Scholar Athlete Award as Bentley’s premier senior scholar-athlete.

After earning her fourth career All-America award with a sixth-place finish in the three-meter diving Wednesday night, Bentley University senior Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) closed out the season by finishing 22nd in the one-meter Friday night during the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium.

Maloney HS) repeated as 200 yard breaststroke champion to lead the Bentley University Falcons during the final night of the 2016 Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships Sunday night at WPI.
