WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University freshman diver Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/ Falmouth HS) broke both the school and pool records off both boards, recording the first two 300+ scores in program history, but despite her outstanding efforts, the Falcons dropped their first dual meet of the season, falling to visiting Keene State College, 155-139, in women's swimming action at the Dana Center pool Saturday afternoon.

Mancini captured the one-meter diving with a 307.64 and nearly matched that score while winning the three-meter with a 305.55. No Bentley men's or women's diver had ever achieved a 300, and there were no 300's listed on the latest NCAA Division II rankings.

Mancini's 307.54 on the one-meter bettered the school and pool records she set on Wednesday against Babson by 12.53 points. In the three-meter, she exceeded the 294.10 she achieved last semester against Brandeis by 10.45 points with a 305.55.

Senior All-America Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) was Bentley's other double-winner as she was first to the wall in both the 100 breaststroke (1:08.69) and the 200 individual medley (2:19.40). She was also second in the 200 breast, finishing in 2:32.67.

Bentley also received a win from sophomore Danielle Hellstern (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug HS) in the 100 freestyle, with her time of 56.08 seconds the best of the year by a Falcon in the event.

Hellstern and Hodsdon also helped Bentley win the 200 medley relay, combining with junior Caroline Lewis (Westfield/Westfield HS) and senior Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) with a season-best 1:53.79.

Double winners for Keene were Julie Trodden, in the 1000 and 500 free, and Diana Pimer, in the 100 and 200 butterfly.

Bentley, 8-1, will complete its dual meet schedule Tuesday at home against Bridgewater State (6 pm).
