Kaduboski & Divers Help Bentley Women Stay Unbeaten with 156-144 Win at Keene State

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Senior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) captured two individual events and the Falcons enjoyed a 31-7 advantage in the two diving events as Bentley University improved to 10-0 with a 156-144 victory over Keene State in women's college swimming at the Keene State pool Saturday afternoon.

Bentley trailed by as many as 19 points and despite twice taking the lead, was down 142-141 entering the final event, the 400 yard freestyle relay. That race proved to be no contest as the Falcons prevailed in 3:43.88, finishing more than 13 seconds in front of the Owls, who were third, more than a second back of the Falcons' B relay.

Freshman Kellen Power (San Jose, Calif./Valley Christian HS) and sophomores Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) and Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) swam the first three legs, and Kaduboski closed to lock up the meet victory.

Bentley's first lead of the night didn't come until the 12th event when freshman Heather Exley (Oceanside, Calif./Vista HS) captured the 500 yard freestyle in 5:27.17, and the Falcons also took second and fourth.

Kaduboski registered victories in both the 200 butterfly and the 200 breaststroke, with times of 2:08.48 and 2:10.11 respectively.

Bentley made up 13 points in the one-meter diving with sophomore Abby Mathews (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford HS), senior Emily Travers (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) and sophomore Shelly D'Aleo (Enfield, Conn./Suffield Academy) finishing 1-2-3. Mathews' winning score was 230.15 points, and the other two were both over 229.

There was an 11-point swing in the three-meter diving with Travers first in 227.50, Mathews second and D'Aleo fourth.

Power had Bentley's other victory, with a 2:00.80 in the 200 freestyle.

Bentley will look to complete a perfect dual schedule on Tuesday at Bridgewater State.
