Drogosz, Kaduboski Help Bentley Improve to 6-0 with 151-116 Win over Plymouth State

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Sophomore Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington) and senior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) each won two individual races and participated on a winning relay as the Bentley University women's swimming team recorded a 151-116 win over Plymouth State University Thursday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Bentley, in its first action in nearly four weeks, won 14 of 16 events while improving to 6-0 in dual competition.

In the meet's opening event, Drogosz swam the first leg on the Falcons' winning 200 yard medley relay team. She combined with sophomore Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS), freshman Amy Shin (Lancaster/Nashoba Reg. HS) and junior Molly Murphy (Horseheads, N.Y./ Watkins Glen HS) for a time of 1:58.71.

Drogosz later posted winning efforts in the 50 freestyle (26.31 seconds) and the 100 backstroke (1:04.47).

Kaduboski's individual victories came in the 100 butterfly (1:00.11) and the 100 free (57.23). She also swam the third leg in the meet-finishing 400 free relay, helping the Falcons to a winning time of 4:01.53. Also participating on that relay were junior Susie Boretti (Westford/Westford Academy), Hodsdon and Murphy.

Bentley's other winners in the swimming events were Shin in the 50 back (29.93), Murphy in the 50 breaststroke (35.23), Hodsdon in the 100 breast (1:11.43), Boretti in the 500 free (5:38.64), freshman Caroline Lewis (Westfield/Westfield HS) in the 1000 free (11:58.80) and freshman Erin Campbell (Marshfield/Marshfield HS) in the 100 individual medley (1:07.61).

Bentley also captured both diving events with sophomore Shelly D'Aleo (Enfield, Conn./Suffield Academy) taking the one-meter in 247.05 and classmate Abby Mathews (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) claiming the three-meter in 213.55.

The Falcons' next meet is next Thursday afternoon at St. Michael's College.
