GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – A goal in each half saw Adelphi earn a 2-0 decision over the Bentley women's soccer team on Tuesday afternoon. Falcons goalie Kat Hassapis (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) made nine saves.
The Panthers won their second match in a row and third in four. They improved to 4-2 overall and 3-1 NE10. The Falcons dropped to 2-3-1 overall and 1-2 NE10.
Adelphi's Kerianne Scorce scored both goals for the hosts, in the 32nd and 56th minutes. The first goal came after she dribbled through traffic in the penalty area and sent a shot in the left corner from close range. The second goal was after another run into the penalty area for a finish from close range again.
Hassapis made four saves in the first half and five in the second. It's the second game in a row she has made at least eight saves.
Bentley will look to bounce back on Saturday when they return home to take on Saint Rose at 3:00 pm.
