Women’s Soccer Falls at Le Moyne 3-1

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Two early first half goals help propel Le Moyne to a 3-1 victory over the Bentley women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon in an NE10 matchup.

The defeat saw the Falcons three match unbeaten streak (2-0-1) come to an end, and dropped their NE10 record 4-7-1 (13 points) with two matches remaining. Still, the team remains in playoff contention and currently holds the 8th position.

Le Moyne scored twice inside the first 18 minutes for an early 2-0 lead. Forward Kirsten Colegrove scored in the 11th minute with a shot from 10 yards out. Forward Adela Racic then scored her first goal of the afternoon in the 19th minute, with an unassisted goal from eight yards out.

Racic added her 2nd goal of the afternoon in the 85th minute with an unassisted goal, before sophomore Kelly Donlon (Meriden, Conn./Francis. T. Maloney) pulled one back for Bentley in the 89th minute. A pass by Brandi McDonald (East Bridgewater, Mass./East Bridgewater) sprung her for a breakaway, and Donlon finished with a shot from 18 yards out for her 2nd goal of the season.

The Falcons will head back on the road for their penultimate game of the regular season, which is Wednesday afternoon at Stonehill, before they return home next Saturday to face New Haven.
