Siefring Named Honorary Captain for Wednesday’s Game

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University head women's soccer coach Lauren Lukis has announced that senior Anna Siefring (Hopedale, Mass./Hopedale HS) will serve as the honorary captain for Wednesday's game against American International.

Siefring, who has been unable to play this season due to chronic foot injuries, has still been with the squad each day this season as they chase a playoff berth in the Northeast-10 Conference.

"Anna has been a constant source of support for us, attending every practice and game," said Lukis. She's embraced her role as a support system for her teammates. She is incredibly committed to this program and has offered insight and feedback during practices and games."

In her three previous seasons, Siefring lined up as a midfielder and appeared in 40 total matches, with 10 starts. Last season she played in 14 matches and ended the year ranked 3rd on the team in points with 8, which came on 3 goals and 2 assists.

In the classroom, she is a corporate-finance and accounting major with a minor in computer information systems. She has already accepted a job offer from Liberty Mutual upon graduation.
