WALTHAM, Mass.- Sophomore Kieran DeBiase's goal in the 103rd minute lifted visiting Southern Connecticut past the Bentley women's soccer team 1-0 in a Northeast-10 matchup on Friday afternoon.
The Owls win for the ninth time in 11 matches on DeBiase's goal, which improves their Northeast-10 record to 9-3-1 on the season.
The teams battled in a scoreless draw through 90 minutes of regulation and 10 minutes of the first overtime, until DeBiase won it for Southern Conn 2:53 into the second overtime.
The Owls held a slight 10-8 advantage in shots in regulation until putting three shots on net in the second overtime. Six different players for Bentley recorded the team's six shots on goal.
Bentley is back in action on Wednesday night when they visit Merrimack for a 7:00 pm kickoff.
