MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire midfielder Megan Hanna scored a second minute goal to help the Penmen to a 1-0 victory over visiting Bentley in a Northeast-10 women's soccer match Tuesday night.
Southern took the early lead after a shot by midfielder Gabby Cappello was blocked and the rebound caromed towards Hanna, who able to direct it towards the goal.
That was all Southern came up with despite an 11-5 advantage in shots, but the Falcons could not find the tying goal over the remainder of the night. Sophomore forward Ana Tantum (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) led the team in shots.
The Falcons get back at it on Saturday when host Adelphi at 11:00 am.
