McAllister & Ellerbeck to Serve as Bentley Women's Soccer Captains

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley head women's soccer coach Lauren Lukis has tapped graduate student Patty McAllister (South Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) and senior Tamzin Ellerbeck (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) as her team's captains for the 2014 campaign.

"Both Patty and Tamzin are well liked and respected by our young team," Lukis said. They are fine examples of college athletes both on and off the field, and we are confident that their leadership will help pave this program's way to success."

McAllister has started 33 matches in her career, and last season she was second on the squad in both goals and points while tying for the team lead in assists.

"Patty is a fifth-year returning player, and as a starting center midfielder she is a big key for our team," Lukis explained. "She sets a great example for the younger players with her experience and knowledge of the game."

Ellerbeck has started 35 matches in her three seasons at Bentley and has been a starting center back since her freshman season. She is also an exceptional student who is majoring in corporate finance and accounting.

"Tamzin plays a key role on our backline and we rely on her experience to keep us organized," Lukis said. "During her time here she has demonstrated incredible commitment, dedication and pride in our program."

Led by the two captains, the Falcons are set to open their 2014 season on Friday, September 5 against Molloy in North Andover, Mass.
